Perfectly Imperfect - Queen Creek, Scottsdale Family Photographer

I don't usually have stories to go along with my photo sessions.  I figure that you are coming to this blog not to hear what I have to say, but to see photos of your family and friends.  But with that being said, this family session needed to have its story told!
Several months ago, I was sitting in a photography workshop taught by Kamee June.  One of the key phrases that stuck with me was "Perfectly Imperfect".  The idea behind it, is that we all strive to have that perfect family photo.  You know. The one where everyone has perfect hair, clothes still looked neatly pressed, everyone is looking at the camera, and, at the same time, giving the perfect smile.  I admit.  I am guilty of wanting this too.  But this isn't always real life.  And as important it is to get that perfect shot, it is just as important to get the shots that show who and where you are right now....the Perfectly Imperfect photo.
This session started out no differently then any other.  I was meeting an adorable family at a beautiful outdoor park.  Did I mention that their little one was about to turn 2 years old?  This should have been my first clue that this wasn't going to be a "normal" family session!  Man, was she fast and new exactly what she wanted (and did not want) to do.  I can honestly say that during the session I wasn't even sure what I was getting.  But when I was going through them, the words "Perfectly Imperfect" kept coming to mind.
And with that, here is their story.

They are husband and wife,

And so in love.

This is their equally gorgeous daughter.

who has the most amazing blue eyes!

She loves her mommy

And is Daddy's Girl.

And she of course, means the world to them.

Remember, she is about to be two, so she is always wanting to be on the move,

and trying out some independence.

But she snuggled just long enough for us to get these also very important photos!

Thanks guys for a great session and reminding me that we are all "Perfectly Imperfect"!
